Kashan Maranjab Desert Tour

Although Kashan is a small desert city, but there are lots of historical and natural attractions inside and around this lovely city, in “Kashan and Maranjab Desert Tour”, you will visit most of them.
There are two truly remarkable ancient sites near to Kashan. One is the ancient underground city of “Nushabad” which dates back to around 1500 years ago and the other is “Tepe Sialk” that’s a large ancient archeological site which consists of cemeteries and a place for worship. It’s discovered evidence of settlement from over 7000 years ago which is believed the world’s oldest immobile settlements.
There are many Persian gardens in different cities of Iran. “Fin Garden” is one of the most beautiful ones in Kashan with cypress trees, a lot of fountains and water features that was constructed in Safavid dynasty.
In Kashan, there are also some really lovely historical houses. Most of them were built in Qajar era. These large and splendid houses have belonged to some wealthy merchants. “Tabatabaei House” is a large historical house which is 5000 m2 with 40 rooms, 4 courtyards and 4 basements. “Borujerdis House” is also another Kashan historical house with an attractive tall wind tower (40 m).
In the center of Kashan, the historical bazaar is located. It isn’t that much large in comparison with other cities’ bazaars. But it’s not touristy at all and has a more local flavor. You can also find and buy famous carpets of Kashan there. Agha Bozorg mosque is an old mosque in Kashan, it has a sunken courtyard and a simple brick dome which looks humble and different.
There is also a top natural attraction near to Kashan that is “Maranjab Desert”. It is one of Iran most beautiful deserts. There are lots of adventurous activities that you could do there, including trekking the golden sand dunes, visiting salt polygons of “Namak Lake”, camel riding. You will also visit the Maranjab Caravansary en route that dates back to Safavid dynasty.
Near to Kashan there are two exquisite places: Abyaneh village and Niasar city. Abyaneh is a well-known village and one of the oldest in Iran (dates back to 1500 years ago). This village is characterized by the color of its soil and houses, since their exterior facade is covered with red soil. People of Abyaneh have maintained their traditions and special beautiful clothing. In the city of Niasar, there are two attractions: a beautiful waterfall and an ancient fire temple from Sassanid Empire. It was built in the form of “Chahartaq” that literally means “four arches”, it’s an Iranian architectural unit consists of four barrel valuts and a dome.
